I’m experiencing a little Romance

RU_visitingprofessor

No, not that kind. Had you going there for a second, huh?

Today I have a guest blog as a visiting professor over at Romance University with Editing and Proofreading Tidbits.

I feel rather proud of this one – Romance University was named in the 2013 and 2014 101 Best Websites for Writers by Writer’s Digest and in the 2014 100 Best Websites for Writers by The Write Life.

Come join me over at Romance University!

A guest post for John Steiner

DSC01541

Fellow North Dakotan, John Steiner, is hosting me on his blog with my heartfelt “Dear Loved One.” Those of you who have followed my blog for a while will recognize this letter.

Many of us have the love and support of our family and friends while on our writing journey – others do not. Perhaps this letter to loved ones will help.

John blogs at Journeys with Johnbo, musings about places traveled and photos taken. His article about the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks appeared during our North Dakota blogs over the July 4th holiday weekend.

See “Dear Loved One” on John’s blog.

I am a guest on Donna L. Martin’s blog today as part of her Writerly Wisdom series. She’s had articles, all relating to writing, every Wednesday, all year long!

Some of the subjects covered so far: social networking, to blog or not to blog, picture books to young adult, deadlines, writer’s block, critique groups, showing vs. telling, dialog, how to show action, adding tension, and so much more.

Please stop over at Donna’s blog and see my post I don’t need no stinkin’ editor.

I’m a guest on Elizabeth H. Cottrell’s Small Biz Spoken blog

ELIZABETH HEADER

Elizabeth H. Cottrell’s Small Biz Spoken blog shares relationship marketing and customer connection strategies. I am a guest on the blog today with A cautionary tale – do you really own your domain name?

I thought TheWordShark.com was mine – until my web designer died. I did a lot of scrambling, waiting, and sweating while TheWordShark.com went through the expiration and auction block process.

Read my cautionary tale at Elizabeth’s fabulous Small Biz Spoken blog today!
