Summer Haiku

Delicious taffy

Corner of the worn boardwalk

Smooth chewy goodness.

Fun summer pastime

Crack of bat at plate and cheers

Baseball up and out.

Baked feet blistering

Bubbling shimmer on black top

Where are my flip flops?

  1. These are excellent! I haven´t tried haiku yet.

Phillies are at 50 wins – 50 losses.
Likely to remain around .500 this year.
    No playoffs.
Love salt water taffy. So bad for me.

I’ve only seen the Phils a couple/few times this year. The best salt water taffy near you – Dolle’s in Rehoboth!

Oh, and that pic is at Blue Rocks in Wilmington (from the time I performed the National Anthem in sign there).

  3. Love those funny bones, Karen.

    Summer memories
    Grilled burgers, garden produce
    Thunderstorms, fresh rain

    Good Humor ice cream truck
    The bell makes children joyful
    Cold, summer taste treat
